I don’t know a lot about cars, but I’m tempted to buy a Kia because I’ve found some used ones that aren’t very expensive. Does the base Kia Soul have a reliable engine?

The base model
Kia Soul
has a 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine that can produce 147 horsepower. You can also upgrade to a Kia Soul with a 1.6-liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine if you want more power. This engine type produces 201 horsepower.Kia Souls are very reliable cars and have excellent ownership costs, so they tend to be good investments even if you buy them used. Most reported issues with the Kia Soul have to do with steering problems so if you do decide to buy a used car, give it a test drive first to make sure it’s in good shape.
