What engine is in a Ford Ranger?

I don’t know much about trucks, but I want to make sure that my son is safe no matter what vehicle he has. Is a Ford Ranger a good truck for my son, or does it have a really fast engine?

It’s great that you’re looking out for your son! The standard

has a 2.3-liter turbocharged four-cylinder EcoBoost engine with 270 horsepower. This gives the truck a top speed of 112 MPH.

This low top speed combined with the Ford Ranger’s good reliability rating make this truck a great choice for your son’s first vehicle. The only issue that you might run into is that it uses a lot of fuel to power the Ford Ranger, particularly if you opt for one of the more expensive trim options.

As long as you’re okay with higher gas costs, you and your son can both enjoy the benefits of a Ford Ranger.
