What does PCH driving mean?

Congrats on your move to SoCal! When locals say the PCH, they’re referring to the Pacific Coast Highway. It’s one of the most famous scenic roadways in all of the United States, matching stunning coastal beauty with quaint seaside towns.
Also known as State Route 1, the PCH stretches from Orange County in the south to the northern terminus of Leggett, California, covering 655 miles. Along the way, there’s a ton to experience, including:
- The Golden Gate Bridge
- Big Sur’s 80-foot-high McWay Falls, which flow consistently throughout the year
- The Santa Monica Pier
- The Shrine Drive-Thru Tree, which as it implies, allows you to drive your car through the trunk of a redwood tree outside Humboldt Redwoods State Park
But before you decide to cruise the PCH, make sure you switch your insurance over to a
