What does Nissan’s extended warranty cover?
If I get the extended warranty from Nissan, what kinds of extra things will it cover? I’m trying to decide if it’s worth it or not.

- The Gold Preferred plan covers over 2,213 car parts, meaning almost everything in your Nissan will be protected under warranty. The only things that won’t be covered are basic maintenance, cosmetic issues, and certain types of physical damage that don’t affect the functionality of your car.
- The Silver Preferred plan covers 1,529 parts, so you’ll still get a lot of warranty coverage. Some of the parts protected by this plan include the air conditioner, fuel system, transmission, suspension, and electrical systems.
- The Powertrain Preferred plan covers any basic repairs needed after a mechanical breakdown. This warranty option is strictly for your powertrain, so it offers the least coverage of the three extended warranty types.
