What does MSRP mean?

What is MSRP? Is this the same as the sticker price I see at dealerships?

“Great question! MSRP means Manufacturer Suggested Retail Price.
This is also known as the sticker price, but does not always equate to what retailers list an item at. The MSRP is the recommended price a car dealership should sell a
new car
for.
The MSRP is recommendation. Your car dealership is not obligated to sell a vehicle at this price. They can sell above or below the MSRP. It’s common practice for the dealers to list cars above the MSRP so they can make a profit. This is good because it gives you the freedom to negotiate the price as you see fit.
You can also save money on your car insurance, though you can’t negotiate rates. Instead, you can save money on car insurance by shopping around and comparing rates. The
