I’m sorry to hear about your recent car accident! An exhaust tip is cosmetic and does not serve a functional purpose to your exhaust system so you won’t need to have it replaced.
While the exhaust tip isn’t crucial to the operation of your exhaust system, the size of the exhaust tip does affect the sound of your engine. A larger exhaust tip will give your engine a louder throatier sound while a smaller one will not affect your exhaust system.
