What does a 2009 Buick Enclave transmission replacement cost?
My gears have been extra stuck lately, and I think there may be a problem with the transmission. How much does replacing the transmission cost on a 2009 Buick Enclave?

We seriously hope that you don’t have to get the transmission replaced—it’s one of the most expensive car repairs you can take on! Kelley Blue Book estimates that a 2009 Buick Enclave transmission replacement costs a total of between $5,735 and $6,165 for both parts and labor. More specifically, the transmission alone costs between $4,593 and $4,927, while a mechanic will charge between $1,142 and $1,238 for their work.
We weren’t kidding when we said we hoped this wasn’t the case. And, luckily, it usually isn’t. If you’re having trouble with your transmission, have a trusted mechanic take a look under the hood. The issue could be fixable and much more minor (and affordable!) than getting the entire part replaced. Fixing a transmission leak, for instance, costs only a couple of hundred dollars.
But, if your mechanic tells you that a full transmission replacement is really the only way to go, we’d encourage you to consider whether or not it makes complete financial sense for you to do so. If your 2009 Buick Enclave is on the more beat-up than the well-preserved end of the spectrum, then it may be cheaper in the long run to trade it in for a newer car.
