What color is brake fluid?
I’ll be getting my very first car next month, and I’m super excited! There are a couple of questions I still have, mainly about possible issues that could arise. If I need to replace my brake fluid or keep an eye out for leakage, then what color is brake fluid usually?

To answer your question, fresh brake fluid will be yellow in color. As you drive and accumulate debris and dirt in your car’s system, it will gradually turn to a darker, oil color, reducing the performance of your brakes.
If your brake fluid is a dark brown or black hue, you should definitely have it flushed and replaced.
