What causes a 2015 Hyundai Sonata ticking noise?

I’ve been driving this 2015 Sonata for years now with no issues. But recently, it’s started to make an odd noise. What’s causing my 2015 Hyundai Sonata to make a ticking noise?

Nobody likes it when their car suddenly starts making a weird noise. However, a ticking noise from your 2015
Hyundai Sonata
is likely due to something simple like low engine oil or low oil pressure. It also could be due to a problem with the ignition system or an exhaust leak.
Those are the most likely culprits, but it could be something else entirely. Still, it’s best to rule out the simplest causes first. Start by checking your oil level. You may just need to top it off or get your oil changed.
If you do that and the ticking noise persists, then check for an exhaust leak and make sure your gas cap is tightened securely. If you still hear ticking, it’s probably time to see your mechanic.
