Wrangler ticking noises can be caused by low oil pressure, a leak in the exhaust system, or problems with the ignition. Most typically, low oil levels are to blame. Motor oil keeps your Wrangler’s engine parts lubricated so they don’t grind up against each other. If your engine oil levels are low, those parts will run up against each other and can cause a ticking noise. Before you do anything else,
pop the hood
