When I was surfing the web the other day, I came across a Kia K5 that had been lifted! I am so used to lowered cars, it surprised me—and made me wonder whether I should try it on my car. What are the pros, cons, and cost of a lifted Kia?
Pros | Cons |
---|---|
Higher ground clearance | Difficulty getting into the vehicle—won’t be an issue with a lift of a couple of inches. |
Increased visibility | Decreased handling ability, especially on turns—again, likely not a problem with a gentle lift. |
Can get larger rims/tires | Poorer gas mileage—you may not notice this. |
Aesthetic appeal (looks great!) | Cost—the least expensive lift kit will probably run you around $250 without installation. |
