What are the penalties for a fake insurance card in Michigan?
My friend and I are taking a road trip to Michigan to visit some college friends and he told me he has a fake insurance card. I don’t think it’s a good idea to drive, but he doesn’t want to listen. What are the penalties if he’s caught?

, you could be charged with insurance fraud. If your friend is unable to provide proof of insurance, he will receive an administrative violation citation and be required to pay a $25 fee, and may be subject to additional fines if this isn’t his first offense.
