Yes—the Tesla
Model 3 has a front trunk—a.k.a a “frunk”—in addition to a traditional rear cargo area. As a result, there aren’t many luxury hybrid or all-electric cars with as much cargo space as a Model 3. If you combine the dimensions of each of the cargo areas, the Model 3 has a total of 15 cubic feet of space. For reference, a carry-on suitcase is about 3 cubic feet, which means that you can fit about 5 suitcases into your Model 3’s rear trunk and frunk.
To make even more space, you can fold down your rear seats. Although they don’t lay perfectly flat, they do open up the total cargo space to 23 cubic feet, making room for larger, longer items.
For a compact vehicle, this is pretty impressive! It’s definitely enough space for a sizable grocery haul, even if every seat in your vehicle is filled with a passenger.
If you’re shopping for a new Tesla, we recommend taking your time, asking lots of questions, and test driving as many models as possible.
