—they’re both bargains! Although Harrisburg doesn’t get the same amount of attention as Philly or Pittsburgh, it still has an amazing number of amenities and attractions that you’ll love. Here are some of the best places to live in Harrisburg:- Midtown: This walkable neighborhood is just a short jaunt from either uptown or downtown, offering plenty to see and do. The performing arts center, art museum, Midtown Cinema, and several restaurants and bars highlight the offerings in this neighborhood.
- Shipoke: If you want something quiet and relaxed, Shipoke is the best option. With mostly residential streets, it’s a close-knit community with great views of the river.
- City Island: Located in the middle of the Susquehanna River, City Island is just as the name implies—an exclusive island neighborhood right in the middle of Harrisburg. Amazingly, it’s also where the minor league baseball stadium is, offering a unique backdrop for a game. Kayaking and canoeing are also popular activities here.
