I’m thinking about getting a Ford F150 with a 3.0 V6 Power Stroke diesel engine but since it’s a newer engine, I’m worried long-term about reliability. What are the most common issues with Ford 3.0 diesel?

3.0 Power Stroke diesel engine is new and has no major issues, there are some common equipment issues such as:

Loose screws in the EGR by-pass valve flap

Exhaust gas recirculation (EGR) clogging and/or overheating

Diesel particular filters (DPF) clogging

Exhaust gas temperature {EGT) sensor failure
