Should I get roadside assistance with Nationwide or with AAA?

“The benefit of having your towing plan with your insurance carrier is price; the price is much lower than having an independent roadside assistance plan.
Nationwide
charges $42 per year ($3.50 per month) per car for their Plus plan and AAA
charges $123 per year per person for their Premier plan. Nationwide’s plan follows the car, AAA’s plan follows the driver. Aside from price, here are be main differences between the two options. Nationwide has the following:
- Towing up to 100 miles
- Six assistance events per year
- $100 in lock-out service
- $75 for jump-start service
- Two gallons of gas
- Trip interruption coverage
AAA has the following:
- Towing up to 200 miles
- Four assistance events per year
- Free home and car lock-out service
- Free jump start
- Free gas and delivery
- Free jump start
- Free rental car with tow
- Fee-Free Travel booking plus many more benefits.
As you can see, both options have great benefits. Just pick what works best with your lifestyle.”
