can be tuned in various ways, but for the sake of simplicity, we’ll divide them into two groups—electronic and mechanical.A Mini Cooper can be electronically tuned without ever having its physical characteristics changed. Engine characteristics—such as power output and fuel efficiency—can be altered by remapping using an OBD-II scanner or the engine control unit (ECU).
Alternatively, a Mini Cooper S can be mechanically tuned by physically changing, replacing, or adding certain parts to enhance the handling and performance of the car. The installation of an upgraded suspension kit along with the addition of higher-friction brake pads is one of the most popular mechanical modifications made to Mini Coopers.
