Is the Mazda extended warranty worth it?

I’ve had my Mazda 6 for almost three years, which means my official warranty will be running out soon. I haven’t had many problems with it but having no warranty on it makes me nervous. Is it worth it to pay for the extended warranty?

Whether the
Mazda
extended warranty is worth it depends on your priorities, budget, and peace of mind. Mazda offers two extended warranties: Total Confidence and Powertrain Confidence. They’ll both cover repairs for mechanical issues for up to 100,000 miles.
The cost of an extended warranty for a Mazda will differ for different models, but you can expect to pay up to $2,000 for a longer coverage period. The extended warranty still includes 24/7 roadside assistance, and the same exclusions from the original warranties still apply.
No matter how long your
car’s warranty
is, it won’t cover any damage from car accidents, vandalism, or weather events. For that kind of protection, you’ll need a solid
car insurance
policy.
