Is the Hyundai extended warranty transferable?

I’m planning to give my Tucson to my wife when I purchase a new vehicle for myself. It’s still under the 10-year/100,000-mile warranty—is that transferable?

Gifting an old car to a spouse or relative is a great way to cut back on the
costs of car ownership
, so good thinking there! The
Hyundai
extended warranty is transferable from the original owner to a subsequent owner, but there are some asterisks.
You get all of the following with a Hyundai warranty transfer:
  • 12-Month/12,000-Mile Replacement Parts and Accessories Limited Warranty
  • 8-Year/80,000-Mile Federal Emission Defect and Performance Warranty
  • 7-year/Unlimited-Mile Anti-Perforation Warranty
  • 5-Year/60,000-Mile New Vehicle Limited Warranty
  • 5-Year/Unlimited-Mile 24-Hour Roadside Assistance
  • 7-Year/70,000-Mile California Emission Control Systems Warranty
Once your wife takes the keys to her
Tucson
and the paperwork is complete, the warranty will transfer. Don’t forget to transfer
car insurance
too! Adding a vehicle to your policy is a great time to update it with the
