Is the Cadillac XT5 an SUV or crossover?
I’m in the market for a new SUV, but I’m always concerned that I might buy a crossover instead of an SUV by mistake. I like the features of the XT5, but I’d prefer it if it was an SUV. Does Cadillac consider the XT5 an SUV or a crossover?

The Cadillac XT5 is actually a compact luxury crossover, as it’s made on the C1XX platform, not an SUV platform. However, it’s all about marketing. Cadillac bills the XT5 as a crossover SUV, which can lead to some confusion.
If you want a full-on SUV, Cadillac also produces the midsize XT5 and the full-size Escalade. Both of these will have more space than a crossover, as well as a sizable difference in power and towing capacity.
