Is the battery covered under a Ford warranty?

I went to start my Ford today and the ignition sputtered. When I got the battery tested, it failed, and the auto parts clerk said I needed a new one. Since my car is only a year old, I think Ford should cover it. Does the Ford warranty cover a replacement battery?

A battery is covered under the 3-year, 36,000-mile Ford basic new car warranty. Because most batteries are designed to last at least five years, you shouldn’t have any battery issues, especially after one year. Schedule an appointment with your local dealership. They’ll assess the condition of the battery and decide whether to honor your claim.
If you need to pay for the battery on your own, you should reasonably expect to pay between $150 and $300. While it’s not crazy expensive, it may set you back a bit. To offset this cost, reduce your
