Is stoned driving dangerous?

Is it actually dangerous to drive high? I see ads about it all the time now that weed is legal. I feel like it can’t be anywhere near as dangerous as driving drunk.

The short answer to this question is yes, stoned driving is dangerous. Marijuana has a few effects that are detrimental to your driving skills, including:
  • Delayed reaction time
  • Difficulty concentrating on the task at hand
  • Inhibited motor skills
  • Difficulty making quick judgment calls
While you might think driving drunk is much more dangerous, you can still get into
legal trouble
if you’re caught driving high, especially if you get into an accident.
