Is no front license plate a moving violation?
I just moved to a new state that requires a front license plate. However, someone must have stolen it or it fell off. Either way, I have to get to work today, and I need to drive. Will I get a moving violation for not having a front license plate?

Having no front license plate is not a moving violation in any of the 30 states that require one. However, you are at risk for a ticket. You may be able to get out of one if you just explain what happened and promise to rectify the issue.
The very first chance that you get, go to the DMV and explain what happened. They may issue you a new front license plate, or you may have to get new license plates altogether. You might be charged for this, but it’s up to the DMV and your state of residence.
