other than “new car smell”!Unlike gas-powered cars, the batteries in electric cars don’t emit any kind of fumes or smell. If the battery were to leak or deteriorate, the toxic chemicals in it could become a health or fire hazard, but that’s very unlikely.
While leaving a gas-powered car running in a garage can lead to carbon monoxide poisoning and even death, that is not the case for electric cars at all.
If you notice any kind of fumes or smell coming from your electric car, you should cease driving and get it looked at immediately.
