Is it possible to have an aftermarket steering wheel with cruise control?
I installed an aftermarket steering wheel into my car. In addition to now having maximum steering potential, the wheel gives my car an entirely new aesthetic. The only problem is that I can’t use cruise control with my new wheel. Is it possible to have cruise control with an aftermarket steering wheel?

No one wants to have to sacrifice key vehicle functions for aesthetics! Unfortunately, because the buttons for cruise control are typically located on a standard steering wheel, it can be tricky to find an aftermarket wheel that works with cruise control.
However, it is possible to rewire the aftermarket steering wheel to accommodate the functionality. Unless you feel equipped to do so, it would be best to ask for a professional’s help so as not to accidentally reconfigure the wrong wires in your car.
Another option is to purchase a kit that will allow you to mount the cruise control onto the aftermarket wheel, such as the

Cruise Control Kit.If retaining the cruise control function is important to your driving experience, an aftermarket steering wheel may not be the best addition to your car. While it’s not impossible, rewiring and mounting a new cruise control button isn’t as simple as it sounds.
