Is I-95 in Maine a toll road?

I’m driving down from northern Maine to Massachusetts. I just moved here, so I haven’t really taken any road trips. If I take I-95 in Maine, will I have to pay a toll?

I-95 in Maine is a toll road, but it’s only for the section between Augusta and the New Hampshire border. If you’re traveling from northern Maine, any section of I-95 between where you are and August will not have a toll. However, the 109-mile stretch will cost you $7 if you choose to take that route.
Alternatively, you can head down to US Highway 1. This beautiful coastal stretch will take you through many of the quaint, small towns that make Maine famous.
