I’m driving from Kansas City down to Wichita to see a college basketball game. I’m not sure if there are any tollways, but I’d like to avoid them if possible. Is I-70 a toll road anywhere in Kansas?

Almost all of I-70 in Kansas is free for you to drive. However, the short distance between Kansas City and Topeka is part of the Kansas Turnpike. This is the fastest way between the two cities, as well as the quickest way to get down to Wichita. With that said, you might pay a maximum of $7 to take the turnpike, which might save you money when you compare your time and the cost of fuel.
