Is I-270 in Maryland a toll road?

I’m driving through Maryland for a business trip in the next couple of weeks, and I’m unfamiliar with toll roads. Is I-270 a toll road, and what are the fees?

Interstate 270 in Maryland is currently not a toll road, but there are plans to develop toll lanes for part of the Capital Beltway and Interstate 270, whereby motorists would pay up to $3.76 per mile to avoid congestion.
While the toll lanes aren’t active, construction would provide a faster and more reliable trip for commuters and commercial freight drivers stuck in some of the country’s worst traffic.
Hopping on a toll road is a great way to save driving time—you can also save time and money by shopping for
