Is driving under suspension a jailable offense in Ohio?

I got caught driving with a suspended license and now I’m really worried about what’s going to happen. Can I get jail time for driving under suspension in Ohio?

Try not to worry too much! In certain circumstances,
driving under suspension
can be a jailable offense in Ohio. If this is your first offense, however, it’s relatively unlikely that you’ll have to serve jail time.
However, your car could be immobilized for 30 days. You’ll likely also have your license plates impounded for 30 days if you get caught driving without a valid license.
If this is your second offense or more within the last three years, however, you’ll be charged with a first-degree misdemeanor. This charge can lead to up to six months in jail.
A driving while suspended charge can also have a big impact on your car insurance rates. Luckily, the
