Is driving to Pikes Peak dangerous?

Would it be dangerous for my friend and me to drive up Pikes Peak? I really want to go there with her but she has some mobility issues that would make it much easier for us to drive than hike or take the train.

It’s so nice of you to ride with your friend! Driving to Pikes Peak is not dangerous as long as you take it

and drive carefully.

The road to the top is not for the faint of heart, though—there are lots of steep drop-offs, sharp inclines, and curves along the route. But you will be fine if you stay focused on the road ahead of you.

Be sure to stop often to check out the views. There are several scenic pull-off spots on your way up. I hope you two have a great time!
