is dangerous! Ice can create extremely slippery conditions that make it difficult to stop in time.

It also weighs down tree branches, power lines, and other things that could obstruct the road. If you come upon unexpected objects in your path and can’t stop in time, it could spell disaster.

You’ll also have reduced visibility if it’s sleeting. And ice could even cover your windshield, eliminating visibility altogether.

If you do decide to drive home in the sleet, drive very slowly and give yourself a lot of space. Try not to get too close to other cars, and pull over if you start to feel unsafe.
