Is driving in D.C. hard?

Is it difficult to drive in Washington, D.C.? I’m taking a road trip there this summer and I’m considering leaving my car outside of the city and taking public transportation instead because I’m nervous about driving there.

That sounds like such a fun trip! Even if you have experience driving in cities, driving in D.C. can be hard at certain times of the day. It’s an easy city to navigate, but
the traffic
can be bad on weekends or around rush hour.
If you have the option to leave your car outside the city, however, D.C. has an excellent public transportation system. Rather than stressing about the drive, you can take the metro, the bus, a taxi, or even just walk to your destination! You also won’t have to worry about parking in the city, which can be difficult during busy times.
Before you leave on your trip, it’s important to make sure that your car insurance is protecting you in the ways you want. The
