Chrysler’s lifetime warranty, which is now discontinued, is not transferable.
Here’s the lowdown on that lifetime warranty.
- Chrysler introduced a lifetime powertrain warranty in 2007 that was available to all vehicles purchased at a Chrysler dealership.
- Powertrain warranties typically cover engine, transmission, and other drivetrain components.
- The lifetime warranty was discontinued in 2010 and was replaced with a 5-year/100,000-mile warranty.
As of 2022, Chrysler’s powertrain warranty is good for 5 years or 60,000 miles. It is transferable, whereas the lifetime warranty was not.
