Is an expired license plate a moving violation?
I received a ticket last week for driving with an expired tag. I don’t want this to cause my car insurance rates to increase, as money is already tight. Do most states consider an expired license plate a moving violation?

While you may have been cited while the car was in motion, it doesn’t impact your driving nor endanger any other motorists on the road.
