If you’re going to be a Tesla owner, it’s important to understand the warranty options:
- Basic Vehicle Limited Warranty—covers 4 years or 50,000 miles, whichever comes first
- Supplemental Restraint System Limited Warranty—lasts 5 years or 60,000 miles, whichever comes first
- Battery and Drive Unit Limited Warranty—coverage varies based on the model (e.g., theModel S) lasts 8 years or 150,000 miles, whichever comes first
- Used Vehicle Limited Warranty—provides an additional one year or 10,000 miles of coverage after the Basic Vehicle Limited Warranty expires
