Is a Miata a good first car?
My dad offered to buy my daughter a Miata as her first car. It’s a really generous offer, and I would hate to turn him down, but I’m not sure if a Miata is the best choice for her first car ever. Is a Miata a good idea?

do make for good first cars, especially models from the 90s and early 2000s. They’re relatively cheap to maintain, and they’re considered very reliable, which is an important feature for young drivers.With that being said, however, some newer Miatas might be too fast for a teen driver. Fast cars can be dangerous for teenage drivers because they have less experience with handling cars at high speeds, so it’s best to stick with slower models when purchasing a Miata for a teen.
