Is a Kia Soul a good first car?
I am looking to buy my first car soon and am considering the Kia Soul, but I don’t know if that’s actually a good idea or not. Is the Kia Soul a good first car?

Generally speaking, the Kia Soul is considered to be a good first car for teens, college students and other first-time car owners, as the model offers excellent gas mileage, higher-than-average safety and reliability ratings and relatively affordable pricing (especially on used models).
It is, however, recommended that you *skip the first generation of Kia Souls—or those produced between 2010 and 2013—as their engine technology is somewhat dated and less durable than the second and third generations.
All in all, if you don’t have a large budget but still want a fuel-efficient vehicle that is safe and reliable, the Kia Soul is the perfect first car for you.
