The line between crossovers and SUVs can admittedly be a little blurry. Generally, though, when distinguishing the difference between the two, crossovers are usually considered more car-like and have lighter materials geared toward efficient performance.
SUVs are generally more truck-like and are larger, heavier, and geared toward more powerful performance.
Honda defines the Honda CR-V as a crossover SUV, which would occupy a middle ground between standard SUVs and compact SUVs.
