Is a Ford warranty worth it?
I grew up in a Ford family, so my first new car is definitely going to be a Ford. However, I’m thinking about getting added protection through the Ford warranty. I just want to make sure it’s worth it. Should I get a Ford warranty?

A Ford extended warranty might be worth it, but first consider the major factory warranties that already come on all new Ford vehicles. Every new Ford comes with a 3-year/36,000-mile basic warranty and a 5-year/60,000-mile powertrain warranty. These two warranties will pay for any repairs or replacement parts due to manufacturer defects.
As far as an extended warranty, it depends. You just need to ask yourself a few questions:
- Can you afford to pay for certain repairs out of pocket?
- Are you going to have the car for a long period of time?
- Can you afford an extended warranty up front?
- Do you care if you have to roll the warranty into yourcar loanand pay more over the life of the loan?
