Is a BMW extended warranty worth it?
I’m buying a new BMW on a tight budget and the dealership is really recommending that I get the extended warranty. It seems like a pretty good deal but I’m worried that it’s a waste of money. Is it worth it to buy the BMW extended warranty?

We hope you enjoyed BMW shopping! By most accounts, the extended warranty is worth it even if you have to stretch your budget a bit. As you will soon learn, BMW has a high cost for repairs. While you have to pay more upfront for the warranty, it should save you money down the road.
A few highlights of the BMW extended warranty are:
- Your vehicle will be covered for up to seven years or 100,000 miles
- It covers all repairs done in a BMW facility by BMW technicians using 100% BMW parts
- It comes with 24/7 roadside assistance
You will have to choose between three options: Platinum, Gold, or Powertrain Plus. Platinum is the most comprehensive and while it costs the most, it does offer the most value.
