Is a BMW 325I a Good First Car?
My niece just got her license and I’m planning on buying her a car for her birthday next month. She’s always wanted a BMW, but I’m not sure if this is a good option as a first car. Do you know if BMW 325Is make good first cars?

A BMW 325i can be a good first car depending on what you want, but while the
BMW 325I
is one of the most affordable BMWs you can buy, it isn’t exactly an affordable vehicle compared to more affordable (and generally more reliable) Japanese and Korean car, like the Honda Civic
or Kia Soul
. The 325I is undoubtedly luxurious, comfortable, and fun to drive, but it also comes with high maintenance and repair costs, premium gas prices, and expensive insurance. However, the 2022 325I does receive a Top Safety Pick award from IIHS, meaning it’s one of the safest sedans on the market.
If luxury is a priority, the BMW 325I might be worth it. Otherwise, we recommend purchasing a more affordable car with identical safety ratings and better reliability, like the 2022 Civic.
