Great question! In all honesty, turbocharging your 2006 Subaru Impreza 2.5i probably isn’t worth it, as the horsepower upgrade will only just barely get you to what the Subaru Impreza WRX already offers.

You’d be better off selling your 2006 Subaru Impreza 2.5i and purchasing a used 2006 Subaru Impreza WRX—that way, should you ever choose to buy a turbo kit in the future, the expense will actually be worth the difference a turbo kit makes.
