Is $200 too much for full-coverage car insurance in Florida?

I'm 19 and I recently financed a new car. I want to get on my mom's insurance, but they want to charge me around $200 a month. Is that expensive for full coverage in Florida?

“Florida is generally the third-most expensive state for car insurance, trailing only Louisiana and Michigan. The average cost of car insurance is around $2,200.
The higher cost of insurance in Florida is due to a number of factors, including the following:
  • Florida is a no-fault state, meaning that who is at fault in an accident doesn’t matter and your insurance covers your own injuries.
  • There is a high number of uninsured drivers.
  • There is high traffic congestion and more drivers on the road.
At $200 a month for full coverage as a 19-year-old, you’re actually getting quoted a reasonable rate. If you want to see if you can find something lower, get

. With any luck, you might be able to find something more affordable.”
