If my uninsured motorist property damage doesn't cover a hit-and-run, then what does offer coverage?
"I was going over my policy for renewal and saw that my uninsured motorist property damage doesn't cover hit-and-run accidents. I was with the same carrier two years ago and my car was damaged in a hit-and-run.
My insurance paid for the damage and I'm not sure what part of my policy covered it. I do have full coverage on my vehicle."

would have covered it two years ago. If you paid a deductible, then you can assume it was most likely a collision claim. If you didn’t pay a deductible, your

carrier might have changed their coverages since the accident. It is common for carriers to update rates and coverages, depending on the claims their policyholders are submitting. At the time of the accident, they might have covered hit-and-runs under uninsured motorist property damage.
