If my boyfriend adds me to his GEICO policy, will it increase or decrease his rates?

“The cost of adding a new driver and vehicle to an existing policy depends on the vehicle that needs to be insured and the risk of the new driver. For instance, if your vehicle is significantly more expensive to insure or if you are considered a “”riskier”” driver than your boyfriend, his rates would increase significantly.
Typically, adding another vehicle will increase your rates more than adding a new driver to an already covered vehicle, especially if you two have similar risk profiles. The only way to know for sure what the rate increase will be is to get a quote from
