If I have a AAA membership, do I have to buy my next car battery from AAA?
Will AAA service a batter that isn't their brand? The car battery in my Nissan Pathfinder is on its last leg. It has lasted six years and I have a feeling I will need a new one soon. I know AAA will come and tow my car if it dies while I am on the road, but will I have to buy my next battery from AAA?

“If your car battery dies when you are out and about,
AAA
will provide you with a few options. Pick whatever will work best for you!A AAA technician will meet you at your vehicle to test your car battery and charging system. If it is determined that you need a new battery, you will have the option of purchasing one then and there or to be
towed
back home to and you can purchase and install the battery of your choice. Here are some of the benefits of purchasing the battery from AAA:
- AAA batteries come with a 6-year limited warranty.
- AAA members will bet $25 off the purchase of a AAA battery.
- AAA will recycle the old battery for you.
- Once the battery is purchased, AAA will not count this event as one of your service calls allowed per year on your policy.”
