How will I fix a bent car door frame?

I left my keys in the car and a friend promised he had a foolproof way to get me in. Long story short, the door frame is bent after my friend got into my car! Is there a way to fix a bent door frame (preferably without going to a mechanic)?

A damaged door is never fun, especially when a friend is to blame. The good news is, you can fix your door quickly and easily.
Here’s how to repair a bent door frame:
  • Open whichever door has been damaged.
  • Use your knee to keep the door steady.
  • Take the bent part of your door in your hands and bend it back to its proper place.
  • Repeat this process until you’re happy with the results.
If this isn’t working, the repairs may be too significant to be done by hand. In that case, let a professional take over. Repairing a door at the mechanic is likely to cost somewhere between $400 and $750.
If the door had been bent during a collision or other unexpected event, your car insurance coverage might have paid for repairs. Make sure you’re making the most of your
