How should I get blood stains out of car upholstery?
I have some blood stains on the passenger seat of my car. I know blood is a liquid that can permanently stain, so I’m concerned I might make it worse by trying to get it up. How should I go about getting the blood stains out of my car upholstery?

You’re right; blood can definitely cause permanent stains! To prevent this from happening, be sure to use cold water when cleaning it up. You can also use any of the following substances to clean blood stains out of your upholstery:
- Hydrogen peroxide: Apply directly to the stain and remove after 30 seconds. Blot clean with a dry cloth.
- One tablespoon of meat tenderizer to two teaspoons of cold water: Mix to form a paste. Allow it to sit for an hour, remove, and rinse the area.
- Salt and cold water: Mix and gently dab at the spot.
- Liquid dish soap with cold water: Saturate a clean cloth with the solution and blot the area. You can also use a toothbrush to scrub gently.
