How reliable is a Chevy Trax?

One of my coworkers was talking about her new car yesterday and he kept mentioning how reliable it is. The thing is, the car is a Chevy Trax, which I’ve always heard is pretty unreliable. Which one of us is right?

In a way, you’re both right. While the
Chevy Trax
has a decent reliability rating, it’s certainly nothing to write home about. When compared with other subcompact SUVs, it’s one of the less reliable options available on the market.
That said, the Trax has lower than average annual repair costs since owners can expect to pay around $488 per year for repairs. Luckily, they’re infrequent and of average severity compared to other vehicles.
In short, the reliability of the Trax is remarkable only when compared with all cars on the market right now—but it’s not terribly reliable compared to other subcompact SUVs.
While you might not be impressed by the Trax, you still need to protect your own car while you’re on the road. Luckily, the
Jerry
app makes it quick and easy to make sure that your insurance is at least as reliable as your car.
