“If you’re someone who is mechanically inclined and capable of handling all the maintenance work needed to keep the average car in good working order, I would say you should get a new car whenever you get tired of the old one. However, if you’re not a handy person and you wish to avoid as many maintenance costs as possible, it can be a good idea to get a new car every eight years or so. “
